Calculates a provisional biodiversity uplift unit from change in GLOBIO-aligned Mean Species Abundance across a concession area.

Inputs

• signed baseline MSA score;
• current biodiversity observations within the vintage year;
• concession area and quality-controlled ground-survey indicators;
• registered buffer and integrity parameters.

Calculation

Positive MSA change is multiplied by concession area in square kilometres to produce gross MSA·km² uplift. The implementation applies a 10% buffer to obtain the net provisional value. Evidence density and ground truth contribute to a separate integrity score.

Outputs

• baseline, current and change in MSA;
• gross and net MSA·km² uplift;
• integrity components and observation count;
• signed vintage evidence.

Limitations

This is a GLOBIO-aligned screening unit, not a statutory biodiversity unit or proof of ecological equivalence. MSA is an aggregate pressure indicator and does not replace habitat-condition assessment, species surveys, additionality, permanence or local offset rules.
