Known limitations
Decision-support boundary
Miombo outputs support screening, monitoring, reporting and prioritisation. They do not replace engineering studies, ecological field surveys, legal due diligence, independent assurance, regulated valuations or a lender's credit decision.
Spatial resolution
Global datasets may not resolve small or rapidly changing site features. Results based on a centroid buffer are less precise than results based on a verified asset footprint. Overlapping areas, source publication cadence and coordinate accuracy affect attribution.
Proxy models
Pages identify methods that use proxy relationships, prior-dominated coefficients or representative lookup tables. Proxy outputs must be interpreted as indicators, not observed causal effects.
Data availability
An unavailable upstream source, missing footprint, absent operator disclosure or insufficient observation history can result in a data gap or conservative default. Miombo preserves data status and provenance so a reviewer can distinguish observed, derived and unavailable values.
Demonstration data
The public demonstration contains seeded representative operational data. It is suitable for evaluating workflows and report structure, not for making decisions about real assets or counterparties.
